Socking up the world, one pair at a time

Happy feet makes for happy Peeps.

Socks are the most requested and least donated item at homeless shelters. Sock Em' Up partners with professional fighting leagues and athletes to change that.

The item everyone needs but nobody gives.

People experiencing homelessness walk miles each day. Worn, damp socks cause blisters, frostbite, skin infections, and polyneuropathy. A single pair of clean socks can prevent all of it. Yet when people clean out their closets, socks almost never make it into the donation box.

Infections Dirty socks are the leading cause of foot health emergencies among unhoused individuals
Miles walked daily Without transport, homeless individuals walk 5-10 miles per day in worn footwear
No washing access Without a home, the simple act of changing socks is often impossible

Every pair counts

It starts with one pair of socks.

For someone sleeping outside tonight, a clean pair of socks isn't a luxury. It's warmth. It's health. It's dignity. Sock Em' Up exists because this small act of giving creates an outsized impact on human wellbeing.

We serve homeless shelters, low-income families, rehousing programs, rehabilitation centers, and communities affected by poverty and disaster, all powered by the fighting spirit of athletes and the generosity of everyday people.

"A clean pair of socks is life-changing for someone who walks miles every day with nowhere to call home."
